Common questions, answered

Straight answers about what CopyConnectFX does, what it refuses to do, and what it costs. Nothing here is a sales pitch — where the software is the wrong tool, it says so.

Is CopyConnectFX really free?+

Yes. Both products — the trade copier and Verified Results — are free, with no licence keys, no trial period and no card required. There is no paid tier holding features back.

Do my accounts have to be on the same computer?+

Yes. The Sender and Receiver EAs communicate through a shared folder on the machine they both run on, which is what makes copying take under 10 ms and keep working with no internet. If your terminals must run in different locations, a cloud copier is the right tool for that job — this is not.

Does the website ever place trades on my account?+

No, and it cannot. Trade execution happens entirely between the two Expert Advisors on your own machine. The website only displays what they report. If the site, the backend or your internet connection goes down, copying carries on unaffected.

Do I have to give you my broker password?+

No. Nothing in CopyConnectFX asks for an account password or an investor password. The EAs run inside your own terminal, so there is no credential to hand over and nothing for us to leak.

Which MetaTrader combinations are supported?+

All four: MT4 to MT4, MT4 to MT5, MT5 to MT4 and MT5 to MT5. One master can feed unlimited slave accounts, and several masters can run alongside each other on the same machine.

Can I use it on a prop firm challenge?+

Most firms allow copying between your own accounts, but check your own rulebook first. The Receiver EA includes equity protection: set a daily loss percentage or a hard equity floor and it closes every copied position, deletes copied pending orders and pauses copying before the limit is breached.

Does the copied trade have to be the same lot size?+

No. There are six sizing modes — same lot, fixed lot, multiplier, balance ratio, equity ratio and risk percentage — plus a maximum lot cap. Risk percentage sizes each copy so the master's stop-loss risks a set percentage of the receiving account.

What is Verified Results?+

A separate, optional tool. A read-only Publisher EA uploads your closed trade history from MT4 or MT5 and turns it into a performance page — profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, streaks and a balance curve — that you can keep private or share with one public link.

How long does setup take?+

About ten minutes for a first copy on demo accounts: install the two EAs, allow the dashboard URL under Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, and drag each EA onto a chart. The Get Started guide covers every click, and there is a video walkthrough.

Do I need to know how to code?+

No. Everything is configured through the EA input panels in MetaTrader — there is nothing to compile, script or edit.
