From zero to copying trades in about 10 minutes
No coding. No technical background. If you can install an app and copy-paste, you can do this. Follow the steps in order — every single click is explained.
Install MetaTrader 5
Already have MetaTrader installed and logged in? Skip straight to Step 2.
- 1Download the installer with the button below (or get it from your broker's website — both work).
- 2Open the downloaded mt5setup.exe file and click Next → Finish. MetaTrader 5 opens automatically.
- 3In MT5, click File (top-left) → Login to Trade Account. Type the account number, password and server your broker emailed you, then click OK.
- 4You should see live prices moving in the "Market Watch" panel — that means you're connected. ✅
⚠️ The copier itself runs on Windows (your PC or a Windows VPS — see the VPS Guide below). You'll need two accounts logged in: install MT5 once, then to run a second account at the same time simply install it again into a different folder (the installer asks — click Settings and change the folder name).

Download the copier files
Two small files: a Sender for the account you copy FROM, and a Receiver for the account you copy TO.

MT5 Sender EA (Master)
Attach this to the account whose trades you want to copy FROM. It broadcasts every trade instantly.
MT5 Receiver EA (Slave)
Attach this to the account that should copy the trades. It mirrors every open, close and modification.
MT4 Receiver EA (Slave)
The MT4 version of the receiver. MT4 ⇄ MT5 copying works in every direction.
Put the files into MetaTrader
This tells MetaTrader where to find the copier. Do this in BOTH terminals.
- 1In MetaTrader click File (top-left) → Open Data Folder. A Windows folder window pops up.
- 2Inside it, double-click the MQL5 folder, then the Experts folder. (On MT4: MQL4 → Experts.)
- 3Copy-paste the downloaded file into this folder — Sender file into the master terminal, Receiver file into the slave terminal.
- 4Back in MetaTrader, right-click Expert Advisors in the left "Navigator" panel and click Refresh. Your CopyConnect EA appears in the list. ✅
💡 Can't see the Navigator panel? Press Ctrl + N and it appears on the left.

Allow the dashboard connection
One checkbox that lets the copier show live data on your dashboard. Do this in BOTH terminals.
- 1In MetaTrader click Tools (top menu) → Options.
- 2Click the Expert Advisors tab.
- 3Tick the checkbox "Allow WebRequest for listed URL".
- 4Double-click the empty line below it, paste this address, press Enter, then click OK:

Set up the Sender (master account)
The Sender goes on the account whose trades you want to copy FROM.
- 1In the master terminal, open any chart (double-click any symbol in Market Watch).
- 2In the Navigator panel, drag "CopyConnectMaster" onto the chart. A settings window pops up.
- 3Click the Common tab and tick "Allow Algo Trading" (older versions: "Allow live trading").
- 4Click OK. Leave every setting at its default for now.
- 5Look at the top toolbar: the AutoTrading / Algo Trading button must be green ▶. If it's red, click it once.
💡 Working? The chart's top-right corner shows the EA name with a small chart/smiley icon, and the Experts tab at the bottom prints "CopyConnect Master ... publishing account".

Set up the Receiver (slave account)
The Receiver goes on the account that should COPY the trades.
- 1In the slave terminal, open any chart.
- 2Drag "CopyConnectSlave" from Navigator onto the chart.
- 3In the popup: Common tab → tick "Allow Algo Trading".
- 4Click OK — defaults copy every trade at the same lot size. (Change lot sizing later in "Popular Settings" below.)
- 5Make sure the AutoTrading button is green in this terminal too.
⚠️ Copying starts immediately from this moment — any trade on the master will be mirrored. Practice on demo accounts first!

Connect your dashboard
Links each terminal to your account so you can monitor everything from anywhere.
- 1Open your dashboard and click the green + Add New Terminal button (top-right).
- 2A one-time code appears, like 9XK2-LM81. Click it to copy. It's valid for 10 minutes.
- 3In MetaTrader, right-click the chart with the EA → Expert List / Expert Advisors → Properties (or press F7).
- 4Find the PairingCode field at the top of the inputs, paste the code, click OK.
- 5Within ~5 seconds the terminal appears on your dashboard's Machines page. 🎉 Repeat with a fresh code for the second terminal.
💡 This is one-time — the link is permanent. You can blank the code afterwards.

Watch your first trade copy
The fun part — see it work end to end.
- 1In the master terminal press F9, set Volume to 0.01, and click Buy.
- 2Look at the slave terminal — the same trade appears almost instantly (usually under 10 ms).
- 3Open your dashboard's Live Trades page — the copy shows up there too, with its exact delay.
- 4Close the trade on the master (right-click it in the Toolbox → Close) — it closes on the slave automatically.
- 5That's it. You're officially running a professional trade copier. 🚀
Popular settings (optional)
Right-click the Receiver's chart → Expert Advisors → Properties (or F7) to change these.

Verified Results — prove how your accounts actually perform
A separate, optional tool. Nothing to do with copying — it just shows you the numbers.
Alongside the copier, your account includes Verified Results — win rate, profit factor, max drawdown, monthly performance and a balance curve for any MT4 or MT5 account. It uses its own Publisher EA, which is read-only: it never places, changes or closes a trade, so it's safe on funded and prop-firm accounts.
- 1Download Publisher EA from the Downloads page (MT4 or MT5).
- 2Install it exactly like the copier EAs: File → Open Data Folder → MQL5\Experts → paste → refresh the Navigator.
- 3Open Verified Results → + Add Account → copy the pairing code (this is a different code from the copier's).
- 4Drag CopyConnectPublisher onto any chart of that account, paste the code into PairingCode, click OK.
- 5Your history uploads automatically — large accounts sync over a minute or two. Then your stats appear.

💡 Want to share your record? In Verified Results → your account → Settings you can pick a link like /u/your-name and publish it. Your account number is never shown on public pages.
⚠️ MT4 only: MetaTrader 4 exposes just the history period selected in the terminal. Right-click the Account History tab and choose All History so your full record gets published.
VPS Guide — copy 24/5 without your PC
A VPS is a small Windows computer in the cloud that never turns off.
Cost
$5–15/month from any Windows VPS provider (or free from many brokers if you trade enough).
Specs needed
Windows Server, 2 GB RAM, 1–2 CPU cores — the copier is extremely light.
Location
Pick a server near your broker (e.g. London/New York) for the lowest latency.
- 1Buy any Windows VPS and you'll get an IP address, username and password.
- 2On your PC press Win + R, type mstsc, press Enter — this opens "Remote Desktop". Enter the IP and log in. You now see the VPS's screen.
- 3Inside the VPS, do Steps 1–8 of this page exactly the same way (install MT5 twice, add the files, attach the EAs, pair).
- 4Close Remote Desktop — the VPS keeps running forever. Monitor everything from your dashboard on any device. ✅

Frequently asked questions
I have never used MetaTrader before. Can I really do this?＋
Yes! This page assumes zero experience. Follow each step exactly as written — every click is spelled out. Most beginners finish in 10–15 minutes.
Do I need to know any coding?＋
No. There is no coding anywhere. You download two files, drag them onto charts, and paste one code from your dashboard. That's it.
Does this work on Mac?＋
The copier runs inside MetaTrader on Windows (a cheap Windows VPS is perfect — see the VPS Guide above). You can still WATCH your dashboard from any Mac, phone or tablet browser.
Can I copy between two different brokers?＋
Yes. If the brokers use different symbol names (like XAUUSD vs GOLD), add one line in the Receiver EA's SymbolMap setting, e.g. XAUUSD=GOLD. Full details in the Setup Guide.
What happens if my internet goes down?＋
Copying keeps running at full speed — trades copy locally inside your computer, not through the internet. Only the dashboard display pauses until you're back online.
Is the website ever able to place trades on my account?＋
Never. The website only shows you what happened. Trade execution happens 100% locally on your own machine — we couldn't touch your account even if we wanted to.
Do I need a VPS?＋
Only if you want 24/5 copying without keeping your own PC on. Any basic Windows VPS (~$5–10/month, 2 GB RAM) works great. See the VPS Guide section above.
My trades are not copying — what do I check first?＋
1) Is the AutoTrading button green in BOTH terminals? 2) Are both EAs showing a smiley/chart icon (not sad face)? 3) Are both terminals on the SAME computer? 4) Check the Experts tab at the bottom of MT5 for messages starting with 'CopyConnect'.
