This is why test mode exists and why you should live in it first: every message is parsed and logged — what would have been traded, at what levels — without a single order being placed. Run a new channel in test mode for days or weeks. You learn two things at once: whether the parser reads this channel cleanly, and whether the channel is any good.

Judging the channel itself

Automation amplifies whatever it is pointed at. Before real money follows any channel:

• Count the losing streaks in the test-mode log. Five consecutive losers at your chosen risk — survivable? Do the arithmetic before, not during.
• Watch for edited messages. Channels that edit entries after price moves are manufacturing their history in real time.
