How to Share Your MT4 or MT5 Trading Results With One Public Link
A step-by-step guide to publishing a live, always-current results page for an MT4 or MT5 account — without exposing your account details or letting anyone copy your live trades.
Sooner or later someone asks the question you cannot answer with words: "show me." A link that opens a live results page settles it in one click — and, done properly, settles it without revealing anything you would rather keep to yourself.
Who actually needs a public results link
- Signal sellers and Telegram channel owners. The single most common objection is "prove it." A live page answers it once, permanently, instead of every time a new subscriber asks.
- Money managers and PAMM operators. Prospective clients want a record they can check themselves rather than a PDF you emailed them.
- Prop-firm applicants and funded traders. A continuous record of how you handle risk is worth more than the outcome of one challenge.
- EA sellers. A live forward-test page is the only meaningful counterweight to a beautiful backtest, which everyone knows can be curve-fitted.
- Students and mentored traders. A shared link lets a mentor review the real history instead of a filtered retelling.
- Traders keeping themselves honest. Knowing the page is public is a surprisingly effective discipline tool.
The setup, step by step
This takes about ten minutes on CopyConnectFX Verified Results, which is free with no ads and no upsells.
- Create a free account. Sign up with email or Google. No card, no license key.
- Download the Publisher EA from the Downloads page in your dashboard. Take the MT5 build for MetaTrader 5 and the MT4 build for MetaTrader 4.
- Install it. In the terminal, open File, then Open Data Folder, then
MQL5\Experts(orMQL4\Expertson MT4). Paste the file in, go back to the terminal and right-click Navigator, then Refresh. The Publisher appears in the Expert Advisors list. - Allow the connection. Tools, then Options, then the Expert Advisors tab. Tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" and add the dashboard URL to the list. Without this the EA cannot send anything and the page stays empty.
- Attach it to a chart. Drag the Publisher onto any chart of the account you want to publish — the symbol does not matter, it reads the whole account. Make sure the AutoTrading button in the toolbar is green and the smiley face appears in the chart corner.
- Pair the terminal. Open Verified Results in your dashboard, copy the one-time pairing code, and paste it into the EA's input. This is the only thing that links the terminal to your account — no password of any kind is involved.
- Choose your link and publish. In Settings, pick the public URL you want, set your privacy options, and press Publish. Share the link. It stays current on its own from then on.
Every step is broken down further in the Get Started guide.
One MT4-specific note worth doing before you publish: right-click the Account History tab and choose All History. MT4 only exposes the period currently selected in the terminal, so if it is set to "Last month" your page will show a truncated record and readers will assume the worst. MT5 does not have this limitation.
The Publisher EA cannot trade
Worth stating explicitly because it is the first question experienced traders ask: the Publisher EA is strictly read-only. It contains no order logic — it never places, closes, modifies or hedges anything. It reads history and open positions, and it sends numbers. That is why it is safe to run alongside your strategy on a funded or prop-firm account, and why it does not need your investor password. Remove it from the chart and publishing simply stops.
Privacy controls: publish the record, protect the edge
Sharing results should not mean giving away your entries. The controls below let you decide exactly how much the page reveals.
| Control | What it does | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Publish delay | Holds every update by a chosen number of minutes | Stops viewers front-running or free-riding your live entries. Signal sellers commonly set this well beyond their average trade duration. |
| Hide open positions | Shows only closed trades; current exposure is not displayed | Full closed-trade transparency with zero information about what you are in right now. |
| Symbol filter | Publishes only the instruments you list | Show your gold results without exposing an unrelated indices strategy on the same account. |
| Magic number filter | Publishes only trades from a chosen EA or strategy ID | One account runs three systems; publish the record of just one of them. |
| Start date | Begins the published record from a chosen date | Useful when an account was previously used for unrelated testing. State this on the page if you use it — a record that starts mid-way invites suspicion. |
Use these to filter by strategy, never by outcome. A filter that quietly removes losing trades turns a track record back into marketing, and readers who compare your stated profit factor against the visible history will notice.
What viewers see, and what stays private
Public on the page:
- Account type — Real, Demo or Contest, labelled clearly
- Broker, trade server, account currency and leverage
- Balance and equity curve, and computed statistics: profit factor, drawdown, expectancy, win rate, long and short split, per-symbol breakdown
- Trade history, subject to the filters and delay you set
Never public:
- Your account number
- Your name, email or any personal identity
- Any password — none exists in this setup, so there is nothing to leak
The visible context matters as much as the numbers. Showing account type, broker, server and leverage is what lets a stranger judge whether your results are credible instead of taking your word for it, and all of the statistics are recomputed from the raw trades so they always reconcile with the history displayed.
If you would rather see those statistics privately first, run your exported report through the free statement analyzer — same calculations, nothing published and nothing uploaded.
A word of caution before you hit publish
A public link invites scrutiny, and that is the whole point — but it works in both directions. Once the page is live, a bad month is visible too, and anyone can screenshot it. That is a feature, not a bug: a record that only appears when it flatters you is worth nothing. Still, publish only what you are prepared to defend. If you would be uncomfortable explaining a period of the account to a sceptical reader, decide now whether you want it public, rather than deleting the page later — and a page that vanishes is a story of its own.
Free, ad-free, no investor password. Set up your results page and share one link that stays true.
Frequently asked questions
How do I share my MT4 or MT5 results with one link?+
Install a read-only Publisher EA on the terminal running the account, pair it with your dashboard using a one-time code, choose a public link and press Publish. The page then updates itself from the terminal, so the same URL always shows current results without you sending anything again.
Can people copy my trades if I publish my results?+
Not if you set a publish delay. CopyConnectFX Verified Results lets you hold updates by any number of minutes and optionally hide open positions entirely, so viewers see the record without seeing live entries in time to act on them.
What do viewers of my results page see, and what stays private?+
Viewers see account type (Real, Demo or Contest), broker, server, account currency, leverage, computed statistics and your trade history subject to your filters. Your account number and personal identity are never shown, and no login credential is involved at any point.
Does publishing results cost anything?+
No. CopyConnectFX Verified Results is completely free, with no ads and no upsells on your page, and the same free account also includes a local MT4/MT5 trade copier. You can create a free account and be publishing in about ten minutes.
